Brava.
Raul Esparza: The more that Broadway gears itself towards: a kind of repetition of what audiences already know; revival upon revival of shows that aren't really necessary to do; shows that say nothing to our time and place - that's when it becomes a theme park. I never felt that way about Broadway before.
BWW: Me either.
Raul Esparza: I don't think that's all that it is. I think the pendulum will swing back - Lord knows, there's a lot of new writing happening with plays that we are seeing. And, there's some interesting new stuff that comes up now and then. At first, it's hard for them to find an audience - like SPRING AWAKENING, at first. And, then, sometimes a chance is taken - like on BLOODY, BLOODY [ANDREW JACKSON] this season.
BWW: What a great show.
Raul Esparza: If works like that can't be nurtured, then we are dead in the water.

The lunar eclipse was really beautiful to watch. Even if I was shivering down to my toes.It was nice to see if from Delaware- nothing out here but sky. On that note, something I discovered- is how truly afraid of silence I am. I live on a street in Philly where it is NEVER silent, no matter what hour, and it is the most comforting sound ever. I can’t fall asleep without some sort of white...

The guy from the Harry Potter Alliance said they want to support LGBT organizations. Why? “Because if Harry Potter taught us anything, it’s that nobody deserves to live in a closet.”

Loss of feminism?
Somehow when I’m home I lose all sense of feminism. I’m home baking cookies, doing the dishes and sewing buttons on my fathers clothes. And I sorta like it.
